The HOPE project children were brought into OOTY as an exposure visit on 11.02.2018. They were seen Botanical Garden, Rose Garden, Railway Station of Ooty. The Lions Club of udagmunt sponsored very good lunch and evening tea and snacks. The children felt very happy about the visit.
On 18th and 29th of November 2017, the Community Health Workers training was held at KKID. From HOPE Project 8 Health Care Guides and 3 Social Workers participated in the training program. They were learned Safety and Environment and Diabetics during the training program. Our staff felt very happy about the training program because they learned how to conduct sugar test.
The Self Help Group leaders training was held at HOPE office on 20.09.2017. Mr.Selvadevan, Project Manager -NMCT-HOPE Project given welcome address as well as oriented the NMCT & HOPE Project activities as first session. Mr.Lakshmanansamy was the resource person of the SHG leaders training. He explained about the Why SHG is needed, Structure of the SHG, functions of SHG, how to conduct SHG meeting, the need for leadership in SHG and why self assessment is necessary. the training went with different methodology like group work, presentation, role play and sharing of experience in SHG. The participants shared their feedback of the training. The SHG leaders training came to concluded with Mrs.Sudhamaheswari, Social worker-NMCT-HOPE Project.
